Ruto’s Men Who Assisted Oscar Sudi to Escape
New details have emerged on the how three Deputy President William Ruto’s bodyguards helped the vocal Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi to escape arrest on Friday 11 September.
After evading the arrest of Friday, Sudi on Sunday 13 September morning presented himself at Langas Police Station to enquire why the Police wanted to arrest him before being arrested and airlifted to Nakuru with military chopper where he will be grilled before being arraigned.
As Sudi awaits to be grilled on Monday, new details have emerged that three presidential escort officers attached to the President and the Deputy President helped the Kapseret lawmaker to escape arrest on Friday.
Saudi has been accused of spreading hate speech after slamming President Uhuru Kenyatta and his mother Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
Reports by People’s Daily indicated that the three presidential escort officers had accompanied the second in command to his Sugoi Home in Uasin Gishu County before leaving to Sudi’s residence when the police officers reportedly surrounded his home.
The three officers included reportedly helped Sudi out are Constables Isaack Dida, Simon Siengo and their Commander identified Chief Inspector Ekiru.
According to Uasin Gishu Police Boss Johnstone Ipara, Ekiru and his colleagues are suspected to have helped the MP to escape arrest and they will be arraigned on Monday.
The 2 officers will be charged for hindering justice while the chief inspector is said to have gone missing after leaving behind his firearm which was recovered by officers who raided the MP’s home.
